Many believers are saved, but not led.
Many believers are born again, but still governed by their soul.
Many believers belong to God, but are not following His direction.
This is why there is such a gap between what God has provided and what believers experience.
The Word continues:
Romans 8:15–16 (KJV):
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”
Here we see how God leads—through the inward witness.
God does not primarily lead you through external signs.
He does not primarily lead you through circumstances.
He leads you through your spirit.
The Spirit of God bears witness with your spirit.
